Last month I had the honor to participate in a beautiful proposal for my lovely cousin Alexandra. Al is one of the kindest, funniest and most intelligent people I know so when her boyfriend Laurence asked if I could be part of the day, I was so ecstatic! Laurence planned everything out to the last detail and disguised the day as an "early Valentine's Day". We went up to Tomales Bay to go for a private morning kayak ride, guided by none other than my sister Jasmine. Then we drove down to one of my favorite places, the Marshall Store, to have oysters and champagne. He actually bought an oyster ahead of time, shucked and cleaned it out, attached the ring inside and glued it back together (I know, straight from a rom-com right?!). During lunch, Laurence offered to show Al how to shuck an oyster and the look on her face when she opened it saw what was inside was absolutely priceless. The best part was everyone at the Marshall Store was in on it and started cheering and applauding when he got down on one knee. It was one of the cutest most precious moments in history and I got it all on video!
I am so so so elated for their love and the adventures to come and I'm so excited to see them grow as a couple, they're truly a match made in Heaven. Congratulations Al and Laurence!
