July Blog Party
We threw our first official Blog Party this weekend! Social Print Studio hosted us in their beautiful and eclectic office in San Francisco - around 30 bloggers and a few Blog Party sponsors joined us for the fun. Thanks to Simone Anne of We Are Adventure.us, who photographed and captured the evening beautifully. All of the photos can be found here, but here's a little recap.
Our amazing caterer, Andrea of Bakin' Bits, created a colorful spread of salsa bar toppings so the bloggers could build their own chips and salsa bowls. She also made some delicious desserts and drinks that were the perfect and light for summer.
Her menu included, Heirloom Tomato Salsa, Tomatillo Cucumber Salsa, Peach Pineapple Chipotle Salsa, Melon Mint Salsa, Strawberry Jicama Basil Salsa, Shrimp Mango Salsa, Corn Black Bean Roasted Red Pepper Salsa, Guacamole, Cotija, Passion Fruit Mousse, Mini Coconut Cakes with Marshmallow Frosting, Rosemary Lemonade, Cucumber Water
Nicole of Sweets Simply sent us some amazing vegan, gluten + dairy free double chocolate brownie bites. I can't believe there's no milk, butter, or eggs in them - she's crazy talented!
Bradford, the creator of Xumma Cola, brought over a few cases of Xumma and a couple bottles of whiskey. Lucky for us, he stuck around to serve up drinks - they were oh so refreshing!
Each blogger took home a Party Box full of goodies from our talented sponsors. Social Print Studio even set up their live printer for us, anyone who used #spsblogparty on Instagram during the party, got a printout of their photo! We also did 2 amazing giveaways - a beautiful backpack from Buluchu and a set of custom letterpressed business cards from Lilikoi Design + Letterpress. Because what would a blogger event be without a couple giveaways?
Of course, the whole point of Blog Party, where bloggers and creative companies can meet and mingle - and our bloggers and sponsors did just that. It was so fun to watch new (and old) connections and friendships form. I think the Blog Party group photo is a new tradition. Also, doesn't everyone just look fabulous? We sure do have a stylish group of bloggers!
