Sewing Tips + A Toddler Smock
For all you novice sewers out there like me, here are some helpful tips. Perhaps if I had these printed and hanging in front of me, I could have saved myself from my silly mistakes and hours of picking out thread from fabric. I can't tell you how many times I forgot to put down my presser foot! I finally finished my first more advanced sewing project - a reversible art smock for my friend's adorable little girl Harper, who just turned two. I used the pattern for this tunic from Go To Patterns. I needed some emergency assistance from my MIL at one point (like I cut the whole thing in half accidentally) but it's actually wearable and Harper put it on as soon as she received it in the mail so, success!
