My Bridesmaids' Dresses.

Figuring out bridesmaids' dresses for 8 girls is no easy feat. I knew I wanted everyone to wear a light blush color with mint colored accessories and I didn't want little bridesmaid clones. I also truly didn't want my girls spending loads of money on their dress so I took to some of favorite shopping sites and looked for dresses that matched the color profile and romantic style and pinned them on a secret Pinterest board, shared only with my bridesmaids. I wanted everyone to have a lot of options in style, fit and price range. The girls could then make comments on the pins or add their own. I avoided looking at any dresses specifically for weddings and bridesmaids to keep the price point affordable (most were under $100). As for shoes, I just asked everyone to wear nude shoes - even better if they already had them! I also started looking for mint accessories about 4 months prior to the wedding. I purchased most of them at Francesca's where I found a wide variety of mint necklaces, bangles and earrings. I chose which accessories I thought would go best and gave them to the girls as gifts the night before the wedding. Lastly, I created a "style page" for each girl, complete with their dress and shoes of choice, my accessory gift, and hair and makeup ideas so I could envision everyone's looks beforehand. Everyone looked gorgeous for the wedding and I loved that they all had their own personal style but still looked cohesive with each other. I can't wait to see our photographer's photos of all of us together!
